How did this song not become one of Styx’s greatest hits?
Styx hit it big with their album The Grand Illusion back in ‘77 with songs like Come Sailing Away and Fooling Yourself but it was their next album in ‘78 that is my favorite, Pieces of Eight, where this song resides, along with the hits Blue Collar Man and Renegade. This though, is my favorite song on the album. I have hummed this song many a time when life gets me down. It was recorded at the St. John’s cathedral in Chicago and utilizes the church’s pipe organ. Many say the person he found that he was searching for was God.

Seems like one of those songs I'd have to hear a number of times to get into.

I've seen Denis DeYoung a couple times in concert....Last time in 2010, when he was 63. Sounded awesome. Would have been fun to see him with Tommy Shaw and the rest of Styx, but apparently he was a bit of a headcase to make reunions last very long.

Personal favorite songs were Rockin the Paradise and Best of Times. Same song..just went in two directions.
