Sometimes pundits reflect broader cultural issues, and sometimes pundits are circle jerking each other for clicks. I believe this situation is the latter. The peanut gallery on the left will play their part giving it all the oxygen the performers on the right desire. This alleged blood feud between shapiro and tucker has always sniffed to me of performance art. And objectively i think it helps both their channels. And they are both aware of that.

It's all fun and games until somebody gets shot in the head.

Michelle Goldberg from the NYT rubs herself from her keyboard imagining Nick Fuentes becoming the face of her political opposition. Nobody would be more excited for that to happen than those who hate Republicans.

Everybody with a functioning brain knows that white identity politics is DOA electorally. What is not clear is the notion that white identity politics had anything to do with the GOP's losses on Tuesday. The left is very motivated to pretend that Fuentes is the new leader of the right, even though he has a small fraction of the influence that Kirk did, who was completely ignored.

Maybe people just don't like what the Republicans have done. They haven't exactly covered themselves in glory over the last year.
Based on his Tweets, Trump seems to think he's their greatest asset. Nobody I speak to in real life thinks that way.

I only see that sort of thing from Truth social, which I check periodically to get clued into market crashes and other facets of our interesting times.

Well, Trump generally thinks he's the greatest human to walk the earth since Jesus Christ, so it kind of goes without saying that he thinks he's an asset rather than an asshat.
