CBS Sunday did their usual puff piece on him this morning (Bari Weiss, where are you?). It made me curious about him so I've done about a minute of looking into his past.

He had an affair with a subordinate that cost him his marriage and admits to problems with alcohol but he's back to moderate drinking. Even though he admits that he was at home nursing a bottle of tequila during the LA fires.

I wonder what else I will find.

Rest assured that Newsom's primary quality of being "not Trump", will morph to "not from Trump's party", with unabated fervor. It really doesn't matter who he is. It only matters who he's not. The cucks with permanent tribal preferences have already self-selected, and they are legion.

But I trust that he's a corporate centrist and if he wins the presidency, things will be fine.

One group of people who find him disgusting, are some of the families of victims of death row inmates. Newsom has refused to give them the closure the law is supposed to allow. I understand how they feel.

Most Politicans are just actors doing dinner theater at the direction of their handlers. The handful of principled congress critters from both parties is pretty modest. Biden had a nice smile and worked off the association with Obama. Newsom has a nice smile - so there's that - big state, not-Trump - but looking back at the last few elections - both Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump had wide appeal to those Americans who feel disenfranchised and recognize at some level the amount of deception, malfeasance and legal theivery that goes on in the US government. Who are their successors?

Marjorie Taylor Green is actually principled. But the overlap between "principled people" and "people I'd want as my politician" is smaller than most expect.

I'm mostly bothered by how much Newsom uses his hands when he talks. Watch it, it's almost like he's doing a mime act. That being said, he looks slick and sound slick, so him vs fatty Vance might be a hard optic to beat.

Vance put the ‘JD’ in ‘charisma’.

If you don't take it, it can only good happen.

There may be a slight bias involved in that judgment. I don't think Vance would wipe the floor with Newsom as happened in the VP debate, but I don't see it as a lopsided comparison either.

Could you possibly vote for a man who admitted he hid in a bottle of tequila while his state suffered? I couldn't. And that's not even beginning to take into account his record in California for actual governing. he just looks good on the surface. below that he's another Kamala.

Some evil and soulless people would actually vote for Newsom. It breaks my heart. If a family member of mine ever does that, I would cut off all contact, and call their employer to make sure they know about the subhuman trash that they're employing.

The reason Newsom's last name doesn't end in E, is because they had to use all the Es for the Evil that permeates his dark heart, down to the very depths of his very soul.

I find that it's actually impossible to parody TDS, but that won't stop me from trying.
