Can we just appreciate the scale of hypocrisy for a moment?

The president, the vice president, the AG, the director of the FBI, and the assistant director of the FBI all publicly confirmed that there was an active investigation of a particular individual, without any charges being brought.

That is the very violation of DoJ policy for which Trump fired Comey in 2017.

There's nobody left here willing to defend the guy. Presumably his more ardent apologists have their own little room set aside somewhere else, although it's probably not coffee they're drinking.

That’s only half the story. The people who were willing to defend him were no longer able to. That’s obviously why they left.
