    I don’t see Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World on that list.

      43 - most of them I watched over 10 years ago. I don't watch that many films these days.

        @xenon

        Yeah there’s those years of parenthood where you don’t watch any movies that don’t have talking animals in them.

        If you don't take it, it can only good happen.

          Unless you’re Tyler Robinson, then you’re watching them even more than you did as a kid. Though they are kinda different…

              I only recently learned that one of my favorite movies, Rushmore, was directed by Wes Anderson, a guy I somehow decided I had no interest in, without ever knowingly seeing one of his movies. I see a few of his movies up there and will make it a point to see them all. It’s not so heavy a lift to be a completist with directors. He and Paul Thomas Anderson deserve that.

              Education is extremely important.

                @Horace not sure if it’s marketing but I’ve heard Paul Thomas Anderson’s latest movie, One Battle After Another, is really great. Apparently an extremely hectic first hour too

                  Just watched Moonlight. You may recall it dramatically one best picture after an incorrect announcement was made.

                  The film is set in three acts, the acting is terrific throughout, but the first act for me was the best, the other two acts were a bit on stall mode… a decent movie that was made in a way that almost required it to be a best picture nominee, but not one I’ll watch again.

                    My favorite movie reviewer really liked it. I'll see this one in the theater.

                    Too bad Sean Penn is in it, and is the weakest part, according to her. Some actors can't contain their real life insufferability. Looking at you too, Jeff Goldblum.
