A milestone

I know some of you are well beyond the years hubby and I have been married, but we hit another big anniversary this year, our 40th.
We're not really into commemorative knick knack type stuff. I wanted to give hubby something he would actually use. I found this:
He loves it! He wears it often, and enjoys people's reactions.
It suits him, and it's ... mostly true.
There are still moments of terror, and they usually begin as,
"Honey, I have something to tell you."It builds character. It seems to be working, because he is definitely quite a character.

Happy birthday, Mik!!! That's definitely a milestone, too.
I am hoping to retire in a year. I can't say much about my work, because it would be too identifying. I have enjoyed it immensely for over 20 years, with it overlapping my time teaching. It's time though. I'm ready.
Hubby was shocked when I told him I want to retire next year. He wanted me to wait until he would also hit the right age to retire. I reminded him that I am older than he is. That was a strange and funny moment. I expect he will want to retire shortly after I do. I can see his mind working it out how to time it.
