Scary thought, but I can pronounce that author’s name with little effort. Always stress the first syllable.

…spent a lot of time in Finland in the late 80s and 90s. Never learned anything of the language but grasped the intonation and spelling. Unlike English, words are pronounced exactly as it they are spelled. Georgian is like that as well - provided you know or can make sense of the alphabet.
