AI faked her daughter’s voice and scammed her out of 15k.
“There is nobody that could convince me that it wasn’t her,” Sharon said. “I know my daughter’s cry.”
Imagine how bad this will be in a few years.

Yeah it'll be bad. We should all mourn for the loss of truth. Yes AI can provide instantaneous task completion or knowledge sharing, but it also sacrifices the ability to know what media is real. Maybe we'll see an uptick in ice fishing and woodworking... things that will survive the AIpocalypse. Hey, I should trademark that word.

Funnily enough, just yesterday morning I received one of these emergency scam calls from someone posing as my grandson. Big mistake. He got an immediate verbal response from me worthy of Joe Pesci in Goodfellas or Casino.
Am sure he won’t call back….ever.
