      Well, couldn't is probably a given. The operative here is shouldn't.

        I wouldn't make it past level 3 without bonking my face against the wall after jumping.

              He probably needs it to be against the wall so the whole thing doesn’t topple when he lands on it. Especially when it’s so high.
