Goes back to the beginning of 1900's. Not much change until Pres. Kennedy

Yeah Kennedy changed a lot of the style I believe. I think the room was mostly green for everyone before him then he made it blue?

Oops made the comment before opening the link. I was close! I liked Kennedy's style the most, too.

Say what you will about them, but if there’s one thing he and Jackie O had, it’s style.

If you don't take it, it can only good happen.

I liked Truman, but would have added the sofas like Kennedy did.

I like Nixon’s design best, followed by Biden's design.

Did anyone else read this and go, 'wait, there was a White House fire on Christmas Eve of 1929???'

Interesting that the 70s presidents - Nixon, Ford, and Carter - all had the same color gold chairs that our moms had in our living rooms back then.

                    Probably Mediterranean furniture too.

I like the dark green from Wilson through FDR. Our bedroom is a close, if not identical, green. Like the open space without chesterfields or divans.

                      Elbows up!

The seating, sofas and such, were only there in the era of photo ops with visitors.
I personally like the sky blue of GWH Bush. I’m partial to blue, and find the gold yellow too garish for my tastes. I’ll think about when it’s my office.

Me too. I think that is my favorite too.

                            I like JFK’s. Classy.
