              I somewhat understand Rubio's answer (or non-answer) to the "war criminal?" video above with Rep Keating. He said war crimes have been committed but the task now is to end the war. Rubio has a new job and it would do a disservice to negotiations to call Putin, fact or not, a war criminal.

                Let's just be thankful he didn't refer to Zelensky as a war criminal. Trump's already blamed him for unnecessarily prolonging the war.

                  I think that @89th is correct. He has to speak different now that he is Minister of Foreign Affairs than when he was a senator.

                    I also agree with what 89 wrote. In Rubio’s current capacity it was sufficient to acknowledge the existence of war crimes without further explanation.
