Surprised that Trump didn’t airbrush in an American flag being raised by Soviet soldiers on the Reichstag. Am quite certain his base would not have known it was bogus.

Incidentally, the Soviets staged that photo themselves a day or two after Berlin fell. Trump would merely have been “faking a fake” had he chosen to do so.

I really don't understand this - did he shorten VE Day to Victory Day for some reason? And so what's the actual end of the war called?

Here we say VE Day (Victory Europe) and VJ Day (Victory Japan). The latter being in August.

Trump wants to be like Russia and have Victory Day be May 8th. No mention of what if anything he wants to call VJ Day but his tweet doesn’t inspire confidence.
