No idea. Have never watched it. Just understood it was a kids’ movie.
Although enjoyable, it's another movie where Hollywood messed with a very good book. They made it very sentimental. The book was a lot less so.
Apparently, Roald Dahl wanted Spike Milligan to play the Willy Wonka, which would have been very different, but probably not nearly as successful.
