Good for Lawler He’s a GOP rep in an adjacent district to me. Plenty of 9/11 affected families in his district. (On our bill too)

      Comments are not encouraging.

Is there anyone, anywhere who honestly believes the US would stage this attack, killing 3,000 people, just as a pretext to attack various factions in the Middle East?

Unfortunately there are many. Heck, some folks are still waiting for JFK Jr to make a surprise visit in Dallas.

That whole “jet fuel can’t melt steel” thing is so fricking ridiculous.

You know as a kid, one of the things that annoyed me more than anything was needing to "prove you didn't do it", in other words, spend time and energy convincing someone that something didn't even happen. (e.g., if my brother told my parents I did something I didn't do). Anyway......man it gets so much worse as an adult in terms of reading what folks think out there that someone, somewhere, has to spend energy disproving.

The ultimate absurdity is the idea that the government is competent enough to pull it off, and make it look so much like an actual terrorist attack.

                    Education is extremely important.

It wouldn't make any difference what they find, conspiracy theories are a modern day religion to some people. I was reading a Twitter thread about Pope Francis, and there was a bunch of idiots convinced of foul play due to bruising on his face. FFS, the guy was 88 years old and had double pneumonia.

I always think of @jon-nyc and his statement about trying to sensibly talk with someone who has conspiracies.

He can relay it better than I, but basically, every time you give a logical counter argument to one of the conspiracies, the answer is yes, but......... Eventually, you are putting together table of melt points of various ANSI steels. LOL
