Fairly well to do black kid, captain of his AHS Football Team and a track star goes into the tent of an opposing track team at a meet. A white kid on the opposing team gets up and says “you can’t be in here”. A verbal confrontation ensues, the white kid pushes the black kid, who responds by pulling out a knife and killing the white kid…

This seems to be pretty open and shut. How is it now a case of whites victimizing blacks, and about white supremacy? And now the kid has made $400K in a go fund me while living in a wealthy gated community?

    I’m not getting this story.

Hadn't heard of the story, a quick search seems to imply most folks agree with you, pretty open and shut case and only a fringe is defending him and/or donating. Is there any evidence out there about what actually happened, such as video?

No video, but a lot of witnesses.

The father of the boy who was killed, showed up to a press conference held by the family of the boy who killed him. This is the lawyer for that family:

Dominique Alexander opened the news conference by addressing the fact that Jeff Metcalf was in attendance, waiting for the news conference to begin.

"I want to start off this press conference to say something as a deep note. A deep note that I can tell America. What we seen at the beginning of this press conference. The father being at this press conference. These are my words, don't quote anybody, is a disrespect to the dignity of his son."

He went on to say, "it just shows you all the character. He was not invited. He knows that it is inappropriate to be near this family."

So the father of the murdered boy, has low character for showing up to the press conference in support of his child's killer.

            Education is extremely important.

Yeah, from my brief reading, seems pretty clear that Anthony was in the wrong.

There are counter gofundme pages now, this one is funny.

BTW I also heard the fundraising page has deleted the list of all donors, and the family can't use the money for bonds or attorneys but needs it for living expenses during the trial. That's one expensive mortgage/rent payment, I guess.

In this economy? You can barely afford to murder any white boys. And Jerome Powell does nothing.

Obviously TNCR hasn't been focused on this pop culture mini-explosion, since it doesn't appeal to the TDS mindset, but yeah Karmelo just got found guilty and sentenced to 35 years. Urban people are outside the courthouse informing anybody who will listen that it's all about racism, and Karmelo was railroaded. One hopes it's just the self-selected sort who leave the house to go scream about their politics and tribalism.

An interesting oddity in this case is that Karmelo never took the stand. For a defendant to claim self defense, and yet not take the stand, that's very unusual. Almost unique. Word on the street is that he didn't take the stand because he had a history of violent altercations in school.

So, my read on him, I mean the murderer, is simply that he broke the seal on his horrible behavior, and he wasn't smart enough to play the tape forward with that sort of violence-first attitude towards problem solving. You shouldn't break the seal on bad behavior. Like a guy like NS who thinks he can just lie his way through life. It can catch up with you eventually.

Yeah, 35 years is probably too light a sentence for that two bit thug.
