@Copper do you think that the governor should have done something to stop the rally?

Do you think President Trump and his aids are not aware of the rules and restrictions of Nevada?

The Trump Campaign changed venues multiple time, because of the Nevada governor. Prithee, why wouldn't the Nevada governor work with the campaign, and help find a venue that would satisfy both parties?

Look at the plan that the RNC had with Jacksonville. You’re going to ask why would the Florida Governor not work with the campaign? Sometimes there is simply no solution that can satisfy “both parties.” The only correct solution is to not hold any in-person rally in the first place.

So it was for Tulsa, so it was with this Nevada rally.

Anybody bother to check into the efforts made by Trumps campaign to help keep things safe, or are we supposed to just bash Trump like a bunch of mindless sheep?

First, you couldn't go ten feet without bumping into a hand sanitizer station. Second, they provided free masks to every single person, and they were encouraged to wear them. Third, everyone was told before going in that if they had ANY reservations about going in they should not enter. Everyone's temperature was taken before going in. Those people went into that arena fully aware of the risks, given a mask for free. If they didn't wear it that's their own fault, not Trump's.

Trump could choose to space the seatings six feet apart. He did not.

Trump could choose to have the rally held outdoors. He did not.

Trump could choose to require all attendees wear masks. He did not.

Trump chose to put his own supporters, his own campaign staff, and the Secret Service agents assigned to work with him in completely unnecessary risks.

Better yet, Trump could choose not to have the in-person rally to begin with. He did not.

So many opportunities for Trump to make the right decisions. He keeps making the wrong ones.

I can sort of see how a democrat would think up a list like Ax did, though. After all, there's not a single democrat - especially Biden - who could draw a crowd large enough for this to ever be an issue... it's not hard to space people out when you hold a rally and can only draw in about 50 people.

I saw a video the other day that was made outside the place where Biden gave his acceptance speech. The DNC was having their convention, Biden was giving his acceptance speech... and their was a Biden rally being held outside. There was ONE GUY there... the guy making the video asked the Biden supporter where the other Biden supporters were, and he said "there were 2 or 3 others here a while ago but I don't know where they went"..

I guess they were social distancing.......

Further on down the parking lot there was a Trump rally taking place. It looked like maybe 400 or 500 people... but you're right... none of them had masks on either.

I would think that you would be aware of it as you have very close experience with COVID. For me, the issue with people not wearing masks, staying away from others, is that their actions not only affect themselves, but also can affect others.

I am sure that everyone would think it was crazy if I said that I was going to drive through a school zone at 100 kph. I know the risks, but I am a good driver, so why should it be a problem? Because, my actions can affect others.

(BTW, it is President Trumps fault. If he (or his aides) said that people would not be allowed in with out a mask, and if they took it off inside, they would be asked to leave. Airline companies are doing it and people I have talked to who have been on flights say that it is 100% compliance. Everybody wears a mask.)

                                    Yes, my threshold is high.

                                    I'm not an even-if-it-saves-just-one-life guy.

Everyone in that group is well informed. That raises it even more.

And Mr. Cain's doctor says there is no reason to believe he contracted the covid at a rally.

If someone was saying that the only way to protect others was to cut off an arm, I would agree that it is asking a bit too much.

BUT IT IS JUST ASKING SOMEONE TO WEAR A MASK!!!!

As I said before, I would have more respect for those people who complain that their "rights are being taken away" by being asked to wear a mask IF they told me that while naked.

If they are so concerned about being forced to wear a mask, why stop there? How about shirts? Pants? Shoes? etc etc

It's obvious you weren't raised an American. Americans are born with a strong rebellious streak against anybody telling them what to do.

Asking is fine. Compliance is a whole 'nuther matter.

Trump's campaign asked. They even provided masks. The people who didn't wear them made a conscious and informed decision not to.

Those who cheered as J-6 American prisoners were locked in solitary for 18 months without trial, now suddenly fight tooth and nail for foreign terrorists’ "due process". — Buck Sexton

I bet most of these anti-maskers wear seat belts when they drive, without complaining. Yet, seat belts only serve to protect the wearer, as compared to masks that serve to protect the wearer and everyone else around. Oh and newsflash, masks and seat belts aren't covered in the Constitution, so this "rights" argument is just as bad as BLM claiming the first amendment allows them to block traffic.
