    He turned 80 today.

Also today, I got tickets for me and the boy to see him in September at MSG.

I've never seen him and this is a once in a lifetime chance at his age. So I splurged and got floor seating at about 900 for the pair.

Front row seats were selling for as much as $4,500 verified resale on Ticketmaster.

    I'm pretty psyched.

If you don't take it, it can only good happen.

Should be great if he can play. He supposedly was having trouble with his hands.

80, wow. A remarkable talent, hope it’s a good show.

Rolling Stone has him as #2 in the top 100 guitarists of all time. Obviously those lists are pretty worthless but he’s on the shortlist of guitarists that the boy worships and he couldn’t be more psyched to see him live.

So cool. That’s like us dying to see Tommy Dorsey or Duke Ellington.

You’re a good dad. Both of you are so lucky to see him. If I could go back in time I’d like to see Jeff Beck, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Prince. They were my favs. There are 2 kid prodigies I follow on IG who I think are great: Taj Farrant and Justin Lee Schultz.

About 35 years ago Clapton gave a private performance in my village. The owner of the bar was a famous luthier who had repaired one of Clapton's guitars. Clapton played for free for about 45 people.

Crossroads...probably my number one go-to if I'm driving in the summer with the windows down.

                              Opening act is the Wallflowers.

I’ve heard of them but don’t know them. Their lead singer is Bob Dylan’s son.

Wallflowers are pretty good. I remember their album when I was in college (25 years ago wtf), one headlight was a good song, among a few others. What's embarrassing, as a stupid kid I didn't really listen/know much about Bob Dylan other than his legacy, so when folks said this was Bob Dylan's son I didn't really care, lol.

Years ago, I was in Serbia and spray painted on the side of a wall was the saying "Clapton is god". LOL Had no idea who that was, so had to look him up. I assume they are speaking of the same guy.
