        Great diagram. The timelines are interesting. They should have Egypt--those guys had a loooog span. Also, as an "empire by other means", America would really be an interesting addition now that it seems to be coming to an end.

              Mongol conquest is wild. They were toying around with the Eastern Europeans and on the cusp of potentially entering an undefended Europe. Then the Khan died and they all went back home.
