The Social Security Administration website crashed four times in 10 days this month, blocking millions of retirees and disabled Americans from logging in to their online accounts because the servers were overloaded. In the field, office managers have resorted to answering phones at the front desk as receptionists because so many employees have been pushed out. Again, I am sure that all of the government departments could become more efficient and have less people. But, use a laser and not a sled hammer!!

Social Security is moving to where most things will be accessed online, using an ap with biometric (thumbprint or facial recognition.

Yup. Their online now works pretty well, as does the IRS.

Sam's Club just announced they will be sunsetting physical cards, relying on their ap instead.

Membership sharing cards was their reason.
