If the stadiums are still packed, don't look for market forces to correct anything about ticket prices.

    Education is extremely important.

The ticket prices piss me off, but not nearly so much as the streaming trend. It is pretty clearly breaking the spirit of the antitrust protections the league has been given. Hell, even moving MNF to a cable station violated the spirit.

As far as ticket prices, I’m pretty much out of that market, anymore. And not just because of the prices, but the experience as well.

On exactly the same level (sarcastic), the other day I took my kids to see Paw Patrol Live (a "play" at a local stage). The cheapest tickets were $40 for the very back of the balcony. It's not much money but it's absolutely out of reach for kids in poorer homes, and hurts for me to think there are kids who cannot go to live events (sports or otherwise) because of the price.

We didn't grow up with much money, I remember turning down an Orioles (baseball) hat because I knew my dad probably didn't have the cash for it. On the flip side, some of my favorite memories is going to the occasional baseball game and entering the stadium through the wind tunnel to the grand visual of a pro baseball field stadium.

Don't forget the $10.75 NFL average cost of a beer.

            Plus tariff.

That’s not horrible considering. The beer price I mean. At least if it’s a pint.

                TV money. Drives everything.

OTOH ... Minor league baseball, hockey and basketball are pretty affordable and the product is usually pretty good.

For football, college prices are usually not horrible if it's not a Top Thirty program and there is always the USFL.

As an early adopter, I abandoned the NFL under the previous Trump administration.

Pfftt. I abandoned it during the first Reagan administration.
