    @mark , @Klaus , @89th ... calling all techies ...

    Not sure if anyone has shopped for an uninterruptable power supply (UPS) lately.

    I'm going to need to get a new one, so checking here for recommendations (what to buy) or warnings (what to avoid).

    Looking for something in the 1500AVA/900W range.

    It's to replace a CyberPower CP1500AVRLCD unit that has become unreliable.

    Any recommendation?

        I use one by Schneider Electric, the APC UPS-1000. I haven't had any issues - we got it a few years back, but it looks as Amazon sell them now with good reviews.

        I was only joking

          I'm looking at one of these on the counter right now...

            I like the CyberPower. I have replaced the batteries once. ARe you sure it just doesn't need new batteries?

              Problem with this one is that I cannot be sure that replacing batteries will fix the problem for good. Having a UPS is all about reliability and the peace of mind that comes with it. If I cannot trust the equipment anymore, it's time to replace it.

              Thank you all for the referrals to Schneider and Falcon. I will check them out too.

              Thanks!
