Has anybody gotten a clear understanding of what the overall plan in Iran is?

I know it is kind of a buzzword/cliche question, but....

How do we measure success in the Iran campaign?
kill the leader - check
get a new leader installed - 1/2 check
bomb the country - check
get a US friendly govt??
other?

I think the plan is:

• Bomb them and kill their leadership (multiple times)
• Hope the people use the opportunity to protest and create real electoral change
• Say we won
• Not call it a war
• Not realize this is just a version of what happened Libya

As I already noted above, Trump calls it an excursion.

My fear is that Trump will just declare victory when the political cost gets too high for him to continue, then basically paint a bullseye around the state of things at that moment.

In a speech this morning or yesterday he actually already said we won. He said "we won after the first hour."

They should drop all the pretense and just call the Department of Defense the Department of War... since all this legal mumbo jumbo is just for liberal eggheads..
