    The ONE guy who voted against the release bill. I can't say he's wrong.

    He says he's worried about the victims. Doesn't he appreciate that the most important victims of this whole debacle are Donald Trump and Andrew Windsor?

    I was only joking

      @Mik

      The bill's bipartisan authors – Reps. Thomas Massie, R-Kentucky, and Ro Khanna, D-California – have stressed that the legislation will not expose victims. It stipulates that the Justice Department is permitted to withhold certain information, such as personal details on victims and materials that would jeopardize any active federal investigations.

      The Justice Department will not, however, be able to redact information due to "embarrassment, reputational harm, or political sensitivity."

      Yeah right, my emphasis in bold. It may just explain Trump’s sudden change of heart and about face re the so-called Epstein File. Here’s an outline:

        Donald J. Trump is a victim. Pure and simple. What more do you need to know.

          I can't understand how one man can stop your DoJ, Congress & Senate following legal process. The investigation and prosecution of criminal offences is surely separate from Presidential administration?

              Usually yes. But Trump chose people loyal to him over country. More charitably, people who have been led to believe that his personal and political interests and the country’s interests are one in the same.

                So is Trump(CF) acting as a dictator?
                Is he a dictator?

                  It’s fair to say he’s pushing the envelope, quite often too far, and with varying degrees of success.

                    It’s largely a symptom of a feckless Congress. All recent presidents have pushed the envelope.

                      But not all recent Congresses are such pushovers.

                        The cult of Trump was apparently not culty enough to keep the cultist congresspeople in line regarding the Epstein files. But this particular cult is often like that. Sort of culty and frameable as culty, except when it’s not.

                          Yeah as Jon said, he pushes the envelope. IMO as much as I think he's abhorrent on so many levels, he doesn't really get close to the dictator thing. Now, if he defied the judicial branch and told them "ok now enforce your ruling with no army" or began using the military for more than parades and raking mulch in DC, I could see the threat.
