Are you talking about this one?
I thought it was good. I don't have a problem telling kids (who have been neglected or without mentorship) that they deserve respect. But perhaps it's semantics... perhaps the better word would've been attention, or love.

"Respected" gets a lot of young people killed every year. You want respect? Earn it. Not the street slang, bullshit respect, but the real deal.
Demario Davis was the first NFL player in that commercial. I have a lot of respect for Mr. Davis. He's an All-Pro football player, who should be in the HOF some day. But that's not why he garners respect. He's a God-fearing family man, who constantly works his butt off in his community, giving of his time, talents and money, to try to make other people's lives better. As hard as he works on the field, he works harder when he's not playing football.
I understand the essential essence of the commercial, which is everybody has worth and I agree. But respect? Some people don't deserve it.

I laughed at this one…
