Trumpigula has now even managed to lose his biggest fan in Canada, the one who controls the valve on the oil and gas heading into the USA:
Right now she says she has no plans for a surcharge on oil and gas exports to the US or cut back on energy deliveries but the internal pressure from the general public and more recently industry, for her to put an energy surcharge on the export product is growing steadily.
As far as I’m concerned she just forget the surtax and start turning back the valve and let the MAGAt rabble start paying the new market price for their gas at the pumps.
Stay tuned folks, we will stand up to the school yard bully and its extortionist foreign policy.

Trump actually managed to elevate the thoroughly despised and discredited Trudeau just after the inauguration. So much so, that he destroyed any real chances of the Conservatives forming the next government in Ottawa.
Trump is so stupid to go down this path. No justification whatsoever. He tore up the trade deal he himself signed and bragged was the “greatest in history”. An Idiot surrounded by sycophant imbeciles.

He really needs somebody to tell him when he's being an idiot. It does appear they're all just cheering him on at this point. And not just them, of course. I guess we'll see if any of them suddenly decide to resign.

My guess is that Rubio will soon either be the first to resign or run the risk being thrown under the bus when Trump himself finally realises that Putin all along has actually been giving him a series of Liverpool kisses disguised as stage directed hugs of fraternal affection over Ukraine’s future.

Makes me think of putting on Emerson Lake and Palmer’s album, Brain Salad Surgery. It had a track tune called “Karn Evil 9 Second Impression” that described political theatre like we are seeing in Washington right now. Lyrics were by the late great Pete Sinfield. China has warned the US it is ready to fight "any type" of war after hitting back against President Donald Trump's mounting trade tariffs.
The world's top two economies have edged closer to a trade war after Trump slapped more tariffs on all Chinese goods. China quickly retaliated imposing 10-15% tariffs on US farm products.
"If war is what the US wants, be it a tariff war, a trade war or any other type of war, we're ready to fight till the end," China's embassy said on X, reposting a line from a government statement on Tuesday.

Justin Trudeau, of Canada, called me to ask what could be done about Tariffs. I told him that many people have died from Fentanyl that came through the Borders of Canada and Mexico, and nothing has convinced me that it has stopped. He said that it’s gotten better, but I said, “That’s not good enough.” The call ended in a “somewhat” friendly manner! He was unable to tell me when the Canadian Election is taking place, which made me curious, like, what’s going on here? I then realized he is trying to use this issue to stay in power. Peter Navarro said on an interview either yesterday afternoon this morning that Trumpigula was offended yesterday morning when Trudeau, during his address to Canadians, referred to him as “Donald” and repeated the WSJ headline before going on to announced retaliatory tariffs.
Seems that TrumPIGula is really as thin skinned as people have said when his unmitigated BS is called out.

He has been regularly on the news here making no sense whatsoever of the alleged reasons for the punitive sanctions. His explanations all over the board and contradictory from one day to the next reflecting the chaos emanating from Oval Office.
Today it is being reported that Lutnick called Doug Ford, Premier of Ontario, and told Ford to walk back his threat that Ontario might levy a 25% surcharge electricity into the US. Ford refused and the became quite “heated and terse”. Ford today is still not backing down from earlier statement that electricity is not off table for an added provincial surcharge or even dialling down the delivery of power
