I like winning.
Conservatives have already won a lot, since Trump took office. It seems like the pace is not slowing down. I'm sure there will be missteps, maybe even a big error or two, but it's nice to see the country heading in the right direction.
Congress needs to do its part. EO 's are often just temporary fixes to permanent problems. I want to see a budget. One that's leaner and harkens back to pre-COVID spending. I want to see Hegseth produce a satisfactory audit out of the DOD and better use of our defense dollars. I want to see reform in Medicare and Medicaid. I want to see some ethics reform in Congress. I want to see banking reform.
Oh, there's lots of things I'm hoping for, but right now I'll be content with some more winning.

I think you like bullshit more than you like winning.

Why aren’t all the people who defended Trump’s tariffs as the beginning of a new American manufacturing renaissance lamenting that he backed down after small symbolic concessions?
Shouldn’t they be angry America was denied the prosperity of the McKinley era?

What did I tell you?
He's getting 100,000 Mexican troops sent to the border and we now have spy planes in Mexican airspace. We have more assets from Canada to help seal that border (although this was always about Mexico).
There are going to be tariffs. I think they're going to be more selective and I think they'll be used like a cattle prod to goose construction of American factories.
But you can continue to wallow in your pool of angst if you must, although that may not be good for your mental health.
Me, I'm just going to have a cup of
and contemplate whether Collins tipped the scales in Gabbard 's favor...Tulsi has a hard-on for some of the shadow banning and no-fly stuff in the Deep State. Would be more winning if she can tear it to pieces...

I like winning.
Not as much as cosplay as a pigeon chested rooster and self appointed barnyard barrister. If it ain’t bullshit, it’s chicken shit. You’ve got it all covered, Foghorn.

How do you guys have enough time to argue about this? Between work and trying to return the Toyota and the 3 cases of Canadian Maple Syrup that I panic bought, I am swamped.

I was gonna say something similar. This guy takes up too much time. Not worth it.

When Canada becomes the 51st state it will have the highest population, at 40 million it will just edge out California which has around 39 million.
Wyoming has about half a million, so Canada will have 80x Wyoming's population, but the same number of Senators, that is fair.
And we should change the name too, that old name has too many memories. I would call it simply Donald, maybe Donaldland.

The electoral votes offered by Canada would put the nail in the coffin of any notion that Trump is a smart politician.

Why do the politics get weirder the further north or south you go?

You really are the stereotypical ugly American.
But don’t let me stop you. Be my guest. I have loathed you as a mere pixel troll and avatar for years, why would I want it otherwise? You’re nothing more than Foghorn’s deputised trite little Gauleiter around here anyway.

Here’s the thing.. Everybody is concerned about how the rest of the world looks at us. Why? It’s been abundantly clear for years. The rest of the world looks at us like the rest of the country looks at KC and NE in the BNFL. Oh well. You’re not going to win them over by being walked all over. While I personally don’t care for the hullabaloo over Canadian tariffs and would like a stronger and closer relationship with Canada, I’m honestly not going to lose sleep over Trump pissing them off. I very much doubt anybody’s true opinions of the other have changed one iota over the past month.
