I’m old enough to remember when degrowth was a fringe movement on the left. But at least we’re at three or four dolls, up from 2.
This is a bit much coming from a guy who's lived his entire life as avariciously as he has.
How many gold fucking toilets does one man need?
None, of course.

Funny one from a twitter rando:
Upon some consideration, I have to say - I'm not sure that Donald Trump is the most effective spokesman against conspicuous consumption.

Greg Lukianoff, CEO of FIRE:
Protectionism in the name of poor, little helpless...Hollywood!?
And that's before we even get into the morass of first amendment issues ths presents.
It's as if every day we @thefireorg get a pop quiz on First Amendment law from the weirdest Con Law 2 class ever offered. -

Again, as a husband of someone who loves to buy yet another toy or box of crayons when we have more than a surplus already... I very much welcome Trump's perspective on over consumption and border line hoarding. That being said, clearing out clutter isn't exactly my recommendation for economic policy.

This is so obvious. What are the magats thinking.
WSJ: “If other countries imposed reciprocal tariffs, it could devastate Hollywood studios…The U.S. movie industry had a $15.3 billion trade surplus in 2023 and generated a positive balance of trade with every major foreign market.

As Trump said in the interview yesterday (seriously) when asked if he takes responsibility for the economy, "The bad parts are Biden's economy, the good parts are Trump's economy." Not a surprise, but wow.

At the level given, it does smack of statist micromanagement.
It certainly does. Also rather of flailing.

There's a man who pronounces the 't' in Chevrolet, so that it rhymes with toilet.

You know, if all of these other places would just become a part of the US, there wouldn’t be any more tariffs. Problem solved.

Best comment:
“ Look. Instead of having three iPhones you’ll have to be happy sharing an iPhone. You could attach a cord to it and hang on the wall. Would that be so bad?”
