"Tariffs are a tax hike on foreign countries. Tariffs are a tax cut for the American people." Either I totally am wrong (possible) or I think the white house truly has NO idea what a tariff is and who pays it. WTFFFFFFFF
Of course she snips at the AP at the end of it.
a good summary.
For those who do not follow economics, here's basically what happened:
Leavitt: 2+2=Purple.
AP Reporter: I have a calculator and 2+2=4.
Leavitt: How DARE you insult my math skills!
Conservative Media: White House DESTROYS disrespectful and un-American AP reporter.wrote 17 days ago last edited by@jon-nyc said in Trumpenomics:

Conservative Media: White House DESTROYS disrespectful and un-American AP reporter.During an interview show over the weekend
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt accused Associated Press reporter Josh Boak of "failing" to see President Trump's "long-term economic strategy" in a Sunday interview, days after he sparred with her over tariffs during a press briefing.
"He [Boak] clearly fails to see President Trump's long-term economic strategy, which is to bring in so much revenue, so much wealth into our country through tariffs, that we can give larger tax cuts to the American people to put more money back into their pockets," Leavitt told Maria Bartiromo on "Sunday Morning Futures."

I’ve read that tourism to the US is trending way down. Lots of blue collar jobs connected to that.

Most years we get north of 20MM Canadians here. This year that’ll be … fewer.

"Florida considers enabling income sources for unemployed young Americans" - FauxNews

It brings Florida into line with existing Federal labor laws. It allows 16 and 17 year-old to exceed 30 hours a week with parental approval. It also removes restrictions for 14-15 year-old that are home-schooled, virtual schooled or graduated from high school.
If what I read is correct, a lot of this is grocery store and fast food work...Stocking, bagging, flipping burgers, etc.

I'm surprised Trump hasn't offered to abolish their income taxes.

Sounds like a suggestion that might appeal to the administration; consider sending that to the WH.

I suspect some of this work is seasonal (picking strawberries in Lawdy, anyone) and the kids probably don't make enough to pay taxes on...

Looks like the stock market is falling below recent trading range. Not a good sign.

It’d settled for an earlier signal like this or worse vs. the inevitable inflation that’ll come.
I continue to remain floored that a President is allowed to purposely tank the economy.
