Maybe I am mistaken but wasnt there a lot of "pushback" from the Republic's against Michelle Obama when she started a campaign to make school lunches healthier? 🤔

Lunch in the trash can is not a good use of tax dollars.

Yeah 4 pieces of broccoli was nanny state paternalism but wholesale reconfiguration of the food and beverage industry is America First. If you don’t get the difference it’s your deep state programming showing through.

      Only non-witches get due process.

Oh, and don’t point out that the uber-processed sodium bomb Michelle wanted to replace wouldn’t survive RFKs purge either. That could be considered a microaggression

You think your average Trump supporter will get “healthy again” by banning FD&C yellow #5?

@jon-nyc Your claims about his goals could use a cite, if you would like to make a distinction between "policy ambition" (my words) and "goals" (your word).

He calls processed food poison, and he wants us to stop eating poison.

Again he hasn’t talked about methods.

@jon-nyc He's also said that if people want to eat badly, they should be allowed to. You are finding your truths in a curated subset of his words, and extrapolating from them beyond anything he's ever said.

Broccoli gets fairly sweet if you steam it long enough.

It wasn't four pieces of broccoli. It was a lot of food the government bought, served and then watched it tossed in the trash. Michelle Obama's Healthy Hunger-free Kids Act, an act that had accomplished exactly the opposite of what it claimed it would — leaving hungry, angry, disgusted kids and dumpsters full of wasted food.

It cost us $4B, with 60% of schools reporting increases in wasted food, even as the number of children eating school lunches declined.
