Once again a Chiefs game is won on a dubious call. It was clear to me that Allen was past the mark.

Yep, truly a bad call. Made worse by the review, which should have overturned the call on the field.

I feel bad for the Bills. They lost 4 superbowls IN A ROW (in the early 90's), have never won it, and now have I think lost to KC in the playoffs like 4 years in a row or something? That must be one tough fanbase.

Certainly not the same thing, but reminds me of the Steelers always losing to the Patriots in the playoffs, often because the Patriots would get the 1 seed (therefore a bye and homefield advantage). I vividly remember one or two years where the difference was just one play that would've likely resulted in another two rings for the Steelers.

The Redskins' quarterback is great, really a top talent. I kind of hope Trump forces the team to change the name back to the Redskins in exchange for funding for a rebuilt RFK (Jr!) stadium inside DC.

Daniels elevated a mediocre LSU team while he was there. While he's on his rookie contract, Washington needs to try to make a run.

The New Orleans No-call is widely acknowledged to be one of the worst calls in playoff history.

One thing the XFL/USFL got right was the booth referee. The ability to stop play on the field or to reverse a call on the spot enormously helps the integrity of the game. And contrary to a lot of initial critics of the additional ref, it does not impede the flow of the game.

Meh, I'm a very big advocate for no reviews or automation. None. I love the human aspect of referees and umpires. I know I'll lose this battle (already am), but I'd love to get rid of it all. The call on the field, is the call on the field.

I'm no longer a fan of the NFL, partially because I don't want to attach my emotions to games that too often end in arbitrary and potentially biased judgment calls. If I was still a fan, I'd be all for automated attempts to get things right.

Take the mechanical umpires from baseball and put them in football.

Or maybe let the fans vote on close calls.
