Do you watch inaugurations
-
I got out of the habit as I lost access to broadcast television in 1994. And for a long time thereafter you couldn’t watch them on the internet.
I do remember seeing Obama’s first inaugural from a bar in Paris. It was packed and people were drinking.
-
The only one I ever watched was Clintons, mainly because of the saxophones and a frankly quite foolish belief that things were finally going to get better.
-
I watched this one, to see how Trump sounded. It's frankly ludicrous for those who might peddle rhetoric that their president is too old and mentally unfit, to be entirely unconcerned with opportunities to listen to him speak, especially at important moments. Ludicrous but predictable. Today, Trump sounded fine cognitively, but more importantly, measured and reasonable in tone.

@Horace Again the real issue is me. I’m sorry I’m such a disappointment to our political system and the world at large.

You're not the real issue, my point was general and will be applicable to, I guess, millions. You're just one of them. A flawed purveyor of almost pure rhetoric, masquerading as a straight shooter. It's gross, but I acknowledge that you don't see yourself that way. You've convinced enough people of the masquerade, that you can internalize their opinions of you.
That'll be 5 cents please.

It is frankly ludicrous that some people complain about others not working hard enough whilst they sit around in their grotesque underwear watching daytime television when they should in fact be working patriotically to support this great country in its hour of need.
Short version: I can't watch TV while I'm in the office
-
@Doctor-Phibes You're in luck, it's on Youtube forever!
Also, it's racist not to have MLK day off. You should speak with your upper management. The company I work for replaced some holiday with MLK some years back.
-
I was on the stationary bike at the gym. Though I think you can turn Tv on the monitor but I was listening to Kissin play the Rach2
-
I’ll try to read a transcript though. I usually do.

Thank God. I was just thinking this morning I haven't seen Trump on TV in absolutely ages, and that I hope he's doing OK.

That's no guarantee that it will be reported that way.
No, it's already being reported otherwise.
-
I enjoy the pomp and circumstance of it, the traditions, the speeches. Admittedly I probably watch clips or highlights these days, as I haven't seen much this time around but I'll probably surf YouTube a bit tomorrow to catch it. I've watched more in the past. I suppose my enjoyment for the traditions of the office is one reason I've reacted so negatively to the impact Trump has had on the office...despite my appreciation of his leadership style, conservative appointments, and overall return to American strength and pride.
Anyway, I did catch this earlier today and thought it was really great:

Yes, people in their 90's can remain quite sharp. I hope President Trump is one of those.
