If you don't mind, keep us updated on how this goes. I'm curious about how the teachers will cover the subject matter, and how parents react. Common Core math will be interesting, assuming your state adheres to CC.
Also interested in how open and transparent the teachers are, knowing that parents that otherwise never paid attention, might now be listening to what's going on, reading Mein Kampf or Marx's best-seller with pictures, the Communist Manifesto. Of course I'm talking about the evil indoctrination juicy stuff: will they go there, or not. If not, why not, if so, how will they cloak it.
It's like the heads-I-Win-Tails-You-Lose perspective. If it's not evil, then they must be hiding the evil somehow. If the witch sinks. . .Sorry, paranoia kicking back in, think I'll eat some Doritos.

I think there will be thousands of different responses.
The big one I heard was that teachers learn how to connect with and motivate students through real-time F2F interactions. How do they learn about their students on-line?

So far, his first two teachers seemed lost and overwhelmed.

Reminds me of Biden.

I sat in on one of my twins classes last week....It actually sounded surprisingly normal, except for the part where the teacher announced a 10 minute 'mask' break for those who were attending in person. Those were were participating virtually like my son, were instructed to shut off their cameras.
His twin brother attends a magnet school in Hartford, which was scheduled to begin today. Apparently though, Hartfords school computer system has been hacked by ransomware, and there is currently no timeline for when school will start in Connecticuts capital city.
L's dad, I guess this will be the modern times 'snow day'.

Unfortunately, I think Chris will still make me come to work if Finley’s school computers are hacked...
