Since only about 6.5% of the population in England and Wales is Muslim, that would indicate a certain lack of imagination in the Islamic population.

That’s basically it. Little variation compared to other faiths. I think 10% of all male Muslims are named Mohammed. Which is a huge percentage for any given name.
