Got VR goggles (from my company) and holy crap that is like jumping into the future. Extremely impressed with the technology.

My wife got me a (relatively cheap) drone as well as telescope. Both are fun to play with and will be fun to share them with the kids. I plan to eventually get a really nice drone (and telescope) once the kids are a tad older.

My wife also got me something she saw on Instagram. Hard to explain but it’s a compact electric screwdriver that holds about a dozen types of screwdriver heads. Really easy to use for quick household needs instead of me getting my normal tools. I’ll see if I can find a link.

Please do. Good gift for a new homeowner (D3).

The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.

Half an hour at a Taco Bell?

What did they have to do, kill and butcher the cow for the ground beef?

More often I’m finding McDonald’s where the cashier machines are offline and you have to order via the self serve touchscreen. Takes much longer and sometimes it errors out and you have to start over. The other day they said their cashier machines are completely off, no other way to order. Guess I could’ve used the app. Fast food unfortunately is become slower…

We are doing experiences instead of stuff.

          Why do you hate America?

This morning it’s because I’m in an hour long line at the rental car counter.

It’s Wait For Everything Day. Took me almost two hours to get out of there. At least they upgraded me to a Cadillac crossover. We stopped in Kingman for lunch at a thoroughly incompetent Taco Bell. Took almost half an hour to get our food. Never saw anything like it. We were supposed to stop at the Grand Canyon but after all this falderal it would have been dark. Maybe for sunrise on Saturday.

But now we’re at our hotel in Flagstaff and all is well.
