Some whiskey from a local distillery.
    A large lasagna pan (deep!)
An olive (or other) oil sprayer when Mrs. George is feeling frisky
    A bag of pistachios
A surface-reading thermometer - helps with stainless steel cooking.
    An amazon giftcard.

We set a new rule for this years Christmas: Each adult gives each other adult one gift and nothing too expensive. That way, it's not overwhelming. So, Mrs. George and I each gave one gift to each of the adult children. Grandkids, of course, were excepted. Worked well.

Lucas got a few funny things in a stocking and an envelope that said “check your Venmo”. It’s hard shopping for someone that’s in that tweener stage. He’s an adult, but not on his own, so not much room for stuff that he doesn’t already have. And while I’ll gladly sit down and have a glass or two, I’m not buying him a bottle till he’s out of school and on his own.

We are doing experiences instead of stuff. Today we head for the Grand Canyon and Flagstaff, tomorrow Sedona.

I got a sweater, a scarf made from baby alpaca which is the softest thing ever, and a new case for my MacBook (zipper broke on the original).

Take a look at that fur! And apparently (according to the conservancy app) 1/47,000th of that belongs to me once the bear passes. Now I don’t know which part I will get, but there is a very good chance it will be part of the fur. And if it is, we’ll put your assertion to the test!

It’s Wait For Everything Day. Took me almost two hours to get out of there. At least they upgraded me to a Cadillac crossover. We stopped in Kingman for lunch at a thoroughly incompetent Taco Bell. Took almost half an hour to get our food. Never saw anything like it. We were supposed to stop at the Grand Canyon but after all this falderal it would have been dark. Maybe for sunrise on Saturday.

But now we’re at our hotel in Flagstaff and all is well.

Half an hour at a Taco Bell?

What did they have to do, kill and butcher the cow for the ground beef?

I think I've only been to Taco Bell once.
I think it was because my daughter insisted. I didn't get any food there.

Got VR goggles (from my company) and holy crap that is like jumping into the future. Extremely impressed with the technology.

My wife got me a (relatively cheap) drone as well as telescope. Both are fun to play with and will be fun to share them with the kids. I plan to eventually get a really nice drone (and telescope) once the kids are a tad older.

My wife also got me something she saw on Instagram. Hard to explain but it’s a compact electric screwdriver that holds about a dozen types of screwdriver heads. Really easy to use for quick household needs instead of me getting my normal tools. I’ll see if I can find a link.
