I also hate “interesting” flights

Early after takeoff they asked if there was a doctor or nurse on board who could come to the back of the plane. Now we’ve made an unscheduled landing in KC and two cops came on board. Looks now like a couple EMTs are on board. They just took a young man off. He told the pilot he was sorry and did not have a gun. Sounds like a mental health thing.

Ouch. Sorry to hear that
Mayla’s friends flew in Saturday from Sarasota. 11am flight delayed to 1, then 2, then 4:30. The pilot had to land in Charlotte because he was over his time limit. They didn’t deplane, a new pilot came on and got them to LGA at 9pm.

I can just see the Good Samaritan doc, say an internist, or dare I say, a surgeon jumping up and going to the back of plane expecting some elderly with chest pain and finding instead a nutter muttering nonsense.

Did he have the fish?

@89th said in I also hate “interesting” flights:
Glad it made the news but holy crap I hate articles like that which provide nearly zero details (aka journalism).
It's more realistic and admirable for a journalist to just go to print with no details, rather than making them up on the fly. It's a formative experience for all of us when we develop a certain level of knowledge about some specific thing, then read a news story about that thing. Yeah, they're all that misinformed, you just noticed this one.
