Suicide by cop

Municipalities have tried the social worker thing, including NYC, but they end up sending a cop with the social worker.
Still might be a good idea in some cases, but it’s the opposite of defunding.
Remember that video posted here of the young black guy randomly pushing over the elderly white woman in her walker and she hits her head on the fire hydrant? If you read that story, he was on a special list whereby he was dealt with by a social worker / cop team. Seriously.

That's one of my main complaints - how is a 911 operator to know whether a cop or a social worker is required? This will last until the first social worker gets killed.

My main complaint is that these situations are a couple details and a couple camera angles away from being another martyrdom that we all have to genuflect before as symptom of the evil we participate in with silence. And we do not lack for Americans who would just as soon become one of those martyrs than live the rest of their lives out.

Cop #2 is lucky to have survived. Why the hell didn’t he have his gun drawn? At least after the guy got back up he should have had his out, if not sooner.

Suspect was white. The code doesn’t allow them to shoot white people.
