Doesn’t he have an English wife? Not that he can go there.

    But she must be overjoyed.

Recovered from breat cancer in 2018.

      Acute myeloid leukemia,

Multiple factors influence prognosis in AML, including the presence of specific mutations, and a person with AML's age. In the United States between 2011 and 2016, the median survival of a person with AML was 8.5 months, with the 5 year survival being 24%

The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.

Hers is a bit of an odd story, to say the least. She's apparently quite western in outlook, very well-educated, good-looking, and apparently very likeable and charming. And yet there she was, married to that butcher.

        I was only joking

I think when they first got married, there was pretty high hopes that Bashar al-Assad was going to be different from his father. And he started out with some reforms before falling back into the same things his father did.

That was interesting and made good points. Hope that Syria does not turn into another Libya.

I think we all do that. In my case it's buying little electronic gadgets and listening to old BBC radio comedy. In his, it's torturing and murdering thousands of people.

Although not confirmed this is actually from Assad

Assad's reported statement was put on the Telegram channel belonging to the Syrian presidency on Monday, although it is not clear who currently controls it - or whether he wrote it.

In it he says that, as the Syrian capital fell to rebels, he went to a Russian military base in Latakia province "to oversee combat operations" only to see that Syrian troops had abandoned positions.

Hmeimim airbase had also come under "intensified attack by drone strikes" and the Russians had decided to airlift him to Moscow, he says.
