UnitedHealthcare CEO fatally shot

Ahhh, @89th had mentioned living close to the CEO. I haven’t had my coffee yet… that’s what you get…
Yeah the CEO actually had 2 houses, was separated from his wife apparently. I found his 2nd house just last night... they are both within a mile of me, although his houses are each like $1.3 million.
But you know what, the house above is $800,000....I think the perp was living with his parents? Not sure.

Just drove by them both. They each have a red storage bin turned upside down near the sidewalk with a note taped on. I didn't stop to read them but imagine it's the "please respect our privacy in this time..." standard stuff. The 1st house actually had 3 black SUVs out front, only one of which was marked as city police, but they were all next to each other (side by side by side... blocking almost the whole street) with windows down talking, as cops often do when they pull up to another officer's vehicle to chat. So I yelled "WHO WANTS MCDONALDS!?" to them, but they didn't think that was funny. (Kidding about the last part)

Anyone think it’s strange that this fucking moron was eating at a McDonald’s?
Not really

That’s true. It’s the same crowd that posts about oppression from phones made by child slaves.
That argument doesn't really play out. Organized rebellions, radicals, terrorists and crackpots have a lot in common with everyone else in that they aren't universally consistent with living out their values.

I get his position. It is informed by a situation much worse than most people ever deal with, but we’ve dealt with similar runarounds - a different and contradictory story every time you talk to them. It’s incredibly frustrating even when it’s relatively minor health issues. Couple extreme suffering with it and one can understand his anger. Still, not how he expressed it. This kid had a top education and could have chosen to fight within the law.
