The breakfast in this hotel is horrific, as you would expect Comfort Inn free breakfast to be. Waiting for the little woman to shower and we’re heading to a diner.
Last week we were in San Diego and the buffet breakfast was $36 per person, almost $90 for the two of us with tip (x5 days!). Here it’s free and horrible.
Seems like there should be a middle ground.

They have neither. White bread for toasting, four sugary cereals, scrambled eggs sitting hours in a warmer, and a waffle machine. The whole place smells like fake syrup.

Annnd we use the term 'eggs' loosely. Ugh.

I don’t know why they say 10. It’s 42 recipes.

The supermarket had lots of seasoned turkeys in aluminum roasting pans tonight, for like $2.00 per pound.

Hmm, I may grab a few breasts to experiment around with. I think smoking turkey may possibly be up there with my fajitas for my best grilling/smoking recipes.

Ain't the first time he's said that...

The gumbo is very successful. As good as anything I had in NOLA. Andouille, turkey, trinity, a great very dark roux, spices, rice. Everything but the roux was easy. That takes time.
