A pro-union anti-right-to-work Labor Secretary? Dumbass democrats… Both of them..,
-
I'm telling you... I wouldn't be surprised if Trump declares himself a democrat halfway through his term.
(It won't actually happen... but his loyalty is to himself, not the party)

The funniest part of that would be the reaction of his base finding excuses to support him

You forgot the mask-promoting, shut-down pushing, social-distancing advocate Surgeon General?

I’m not as surprised by that. Trump is proud of his vaccine and wouldn’t want a Surgeon General that was casting doubt about efficacy and potential safety risks.

The realignment Trump has catalyzed has been based on classes of people who historically vote D, voting R. Working class people of every color, and unions. These people wouldn't mind at all if Trump decided to call himself a Democrat. They are not party line voters.

He's not declaring himself a Democrat.
He's trying to change the party, to Center-Right.
Pro-union, Pro-Choice, tariff protectionism… Sounds to me like he’s moving the party center-left.

@Jolly said in The thread where LD denigrates Trump and calls him a dumbass:
Pro-union, as much as that Leftist, Reagan.
Pro-choice, centrist.
Tariffs, targeted.
Yeah, that Reagan was really pro-union :eyeroll: I’m sure that those Airline Traffic Controllers would completely agree…
Reagan was pro-laborer but not pro-union (though he ran pro-union in 80)
