The cynical me would question the timing.

    So would the non-cynical me.

Chrissie screwed himself. And unlike P Diddy, no lube.

I don’t really know too much about his career, but I can imagine a career TV news personality retiring in his late 70s and I can imagine deciding to do one last election first. Better timing than last June or next June.

        Only non-witches get due process.

"Leaving and quitting the network" as in the tweet, is a bit different from what the Mail reported in @jolly's post.

It was revealed Monday that longtime host Chris Wallace would not have his $8.5 million-a-year contract renewed, with the 77-year-old confirming the development in an interview with the Daily Beast as he pondered a full-time podcasting career. 'This is the first time in 55 years I‘ve been between jobs,' he said that same day. 'I am actually excited and liberated by that.'

He’s 77 years old. Seems like a good age to step aside and retire. Probably should have done it 12 years ago.

BTW, I have no idea who he is. All the same I him wish a long, secure and, above all, healthy retirement.

            Elbows up!

I saw his father, Mike, on the Eastern Shuttle between DC and NY.

The Eastern shuttle was a great deal.

Here's a question...The podcast field is pretty crowded. How does a new podcast carve out enough audience to be popular and profitable?

Exactly. He should not be hurting for money, I dont think.

His contract with CNN was pretty darn good.

                      Don't know.

But money may not be his objective. Maybe he just wants something he thinks he will enjoying doing in retirement.

He would have to hire one or two people to help him, and his podcast would have to make enough to pay them. Beyond that, I imagine he may do it for fun.

                        Education is extremely important.
