Chris Wallace: "I'm done."

"Leaving and quitting the network" as in the tweet, is a bit different from what the Mail reported in @jolly's post.
It was revealed Monday that longtime host Chris Wallace would not have his $8.5 million-a-year contract renewed, with the 77-year-old confirming the development in an interview with the Daily Beast as he pondered a full-time podcasting career. 'This is the first time in 55 years I‘ve been between jobs,' he said that same day. 'I am actually excited and liberated by that.'

He’s 77 years old. Seems like a good age to step aside and retire. Probably should have done it 12 years ago.
BTW, I have no idea who he is. All the same I him wish a long, secure and, above all, healthy retirement.

Exactly. He should not be hurting for money, I dont think.

Here's a question...The podcast field is pretty crowded. How does a new podcast carve out enough audience to be popular and profitable?

Don't know.
But money may not be his objective. Maybe he just wants something he thinks he will enjoying doing in retirement.
