Chris Wallace: "I'm done."

I don’t really know too much about his career, but I can imagine a career TV news personality retiring in his late 70s and I can imagine deciding to do one last election first. Better timing than last June or next June.

"Leaving and quitting the network" as in the tweet, is a bit different from what the Mail reported in @jolly's post.
It was revealed Monday that longtime host Chris Wallace would not have his $8.5 million-a-year contract renewed, with the 77-year-old confirming the development in an interview with the Daily Beast as he pondered a full-time podcasting career. 'This is the first time in 55 years I‘ve been between jobs,' he said that same day. 'I am actually excited and liberated by that.'

He’s 77 years old. Seems like a good age to step aside and retire.
Exactly. He should not be hurting for money, I dont think.

Here's a question...The podcast field is pretty crowded. How does a new podcast carve out enough audience to be popular and profitable?
Don't know.
But money may not be his objective. Maybe he just wants something he thinks he will enjoying doing in retirement.
