I think that DOGE has to hit the ground running, because most of what gets enacted will be in the first twelve months.

@Mik said in President-Elect Trump's cabinet:
Steve Miller made a pretty astute and funny comment.
I find it amusing that there are two people in charge of the Department of Government Efficiency.
And what’s their combined salary?

I guess something can be astute, funny, and also completely meaningless

You wonder about Vivek’s incentives. Is he better off proposing some cuts that have a chance of passing? Or does he double down on his cutting of 75% of the federal workforce, write a DOA report, but position himself as the serious spending cut guy for 2028?
I know where I’d place my bet.

If the electorate is in the mood to re-elect Maga in 2028, I see no point in spending his political capital losing to Vance in a primary. He'd be well positioned for a 2036 run at best.

Man - this administration is gonna be a show. Literally. I’m definitely tuning in to more press briefings now.

Tuco would be more effective than Tuca, but Tuca is OK.

Trump’s a performance artist. Seems like he’s picking other performance artists for his cabinet now - literal ones like editorial news hosts and guys that wear half a tub of hair gel like Gaetz.

You know what’s really crazy?
RFK Jr at HHS, Matt Gaetz as Attorney General, and it’s still better than the alternative last week…

Ok @LuFins-Dad , maybe you don’t like dudes in skirts, I’m not in love with the fashion statement myself. But what was the HHS doing last week that made you think that RFK running it would improve things on net?

It’s nice to see how much Trump learned from last time. This is so professional compared to 2016.
