Neither.

I think you're going to see a few things:

20%- 25% reduction in Federal employees.
A mandate that agencies do not go outside of Congressional law, piggybacking rules that Congress did not intend.
A higher emphasis on technology.
A big cut in Federal aid to states, along with the cessation of unfunded mandates. Think Dept of Ed, for one.
Some tax policy changes.

I think that DOGE has to hit the ground running, because most of what gets enacted will be in the first twelve months.

If the electorate is in the mood to re-elect Maga in 2028, I see no point in spending his political capital losing to Vance in a primary. He'd be well positioned for a 2036 run at best.
