Something I might agree with Biden about

I’m against it ever so mildly but not for you-must-earn-your-vote reasons.
I fear it will become a 4 day holiday weekend and will decrease turnout.
I’d rather have early voting, in person, with ID. But a good two weeks where you can vote.
Mail in this year for Covid.
But first you need to make me king.

Good thoughts, @jon.
Other than the last thing, of course.

It is just another tax on employers.

Yeah, just as much as Christmas and Thanksgiving and Independence Day are taxes on employers.

All of which is not a cogent argument for adding another one.

No need to add. An even exchange is fine. Swap one of the existing holidays for voting day.

I just looked at all our national holidays. They could for the most part all be put on the racist burn pile.

I’ve never needed to stand in line longer than 5 minutes to vote and in most cases never waited at all. My polling center has always been within easy walking distance and not out of the way. I suspect the same is true for 99% of Americans.

Maybe 99% of suburban voters.

@LuFins-Dad in 2012, I waited for 4 hours to vote, and I live in northern VA. In 2016, I just mailed an absentee since I was on a golf trip.

How about Black History Month?
