Yeah, when one of your biggest surrogates makes a bizarre video mocking the Eucharist and your number one platform is abortion, I wouldn’t have high hopes for wiping the Catholic vote with another video that kind of mocks Catholic school girls.

It's impressive how Molly Shannon hasn't changed (makeup?) that much since she did that character 25 years ago.

          Some Trump zingers...

“There’s a group called White Dudes for Harris…but I’m not worried about them…their wives and their wives’ lovers are all voting for me.”

“All polls are indicating I’m leading big with the Catholic vote, as I should be, but I don’t think Kamala has given up yet. Instead of attending tonight, she’s in Michigan receiving communion from Gretchen Whitmer”

“I’d like to poke some fun at Eric Adams — The mayor’s dietary restrictions are well known. But I’ve got to say, I’ve never met a person who’s a vegan who liked Turkey so much.”

“I used to think Democrats were crazy for saying that men have periods. But then I met Tim Walz.”

“A major issue in this race is childcare, and Kamala has put forward a concept of a plan... The only piece of advice I would have for her in the event she wins would be not to let husband Doug anywhere near the nannies.”

“Cry havoc and let slip the DOGE of war!”

It's interesting to see which "major" candidates have not made an appearance at the dinner.

            Nixon in 1960.

I can't find any other rather than Harris's virtual appearance.

I didn't watch, but supposedly this was said.

“During the first and only debate, President Trump talked about migrants taking cats and eating them. If you’re keeping track at home, this is the second time grabbing a kitty has been part of a campaign issue.”

Vice President Kamala Harris reportedly erupted in a furious tirade against her campaign manager, Julie Chávez, this morning.
According to a source cited by X (formerly Twitter) user @joma_gc, Harris angrily berated Chávez for over 30 minutes during a phone call. Chávez had advised Harris not to attend the Al Smith Dinner, concerned that associating with Catholic figures might alienate LGBTQ and pro-abortion voters.
Instead, Chávez suggested Harris send a pre-recorded video message to the 79th Alfred E. Smith Memorial Foundation Dinner, a bipartisan event where presidential candidates traditionally attend in person. By skipping the dinner, Harris became the first nominee to miss the event in 40 years.
Former President Donald Trump, who attended the dinner as the featured speaker, seized the opportunity to mock Harris for her absence, increasing the pressure on her campaign.
During the heated exchange, Harris allegedly called Chávez "inept," "horrible at your f-ing job," and blamed her for potentially jeopardizing the campaign. Chávez, reportedly in tears, faced harsh criticism as Harris expressed frustration over what she described as “stupid advice.”
Julie Chávez Rodriguez, 46, is Harris' campaign manager, having transitioned from her role in President Joe Biden’s 2024 re-election campaign.
