When people feel it’s their duty to attack to secure government instututions as opposed to just elections you know democracy has been thrown out the window.

It’s really just a small group of mob protesters, that the police aren’t really stopping yet. Maybe the cops aren’t out of spite, maybe out of political motivation to help Trump, maybe out of PC optics, who knows....

The police aren't stopping them because the DC mayor won't let them. That "small group of mob protesters" are just one group of many just like them spread out in other cities. I watched a news clip about them a few days ago, talking about how these "peaceful protesters" are staying in expensive hotels, flying in from other parts of the country, speculating that someone is funding them, both expenses and paychecks. The article talked about how if investigators could track down the source of funding and connect the group's across state lines the FBI could get involved.

Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler once again standing for his city, even after "protesters" beat on his condo door. This little worm of a mayor is rough tough and double-macho as he stands up to Trump:
“We don’t need your politics of division and demagoguery,” Wheeler wrote, slamming Trump for what he called a “bumbling response to the COVID pandemic.”
While stating that criminals would be arrested and prosecuted Wheeler defended what he said are “tens of thousands of Portlanders” who have “peacefully protested and marched for the noble cause of fixing our broken criminal justice system.”
“They are part of the proud progressive tradition of Portlanders fighting for justice,” Wheeler wrote.
I guess we (Portland) just need more protesters, as the city is a complete shithole, boarded-up downtown and riots every night.

I get tired of the democrat narrative about Trumps response to the virus. It is a bare assed lie just like all their other claims. Trump blocked flights from China before a single person in the US got the virus. Nancy Pelosi immediately did a photo op in Chinatown and tried to paint his response as racism, and told everyone to go to Chinatown to eat and shop. She assured us there was nothing to worry about, it was purely that racist in the White House. Joe Biden said pretty much the same thing. The news media immediately launched into "nothing to worry about, Trump is a racist" mode. They pushed that narrative until it became more advantageous to accuse him of not acting fact enough.
What scares me the most is how brainwashed the rank and file Democrats are. Anyone with an IQ over 40 can see the truth, it's obvious. But the don't even blink as they repeat the lie.

Actually, between the end of January and early April, 40,000 people entered the US on flights from China. He restricted flights, but did not block them.
