Rod Dreher: The words just sort of leaked out of his mouth and evaporated.

Jon, its really a shame youre such a yellow dog democrat. If you were able to think objectively youd see so much clearer.....

“ This speech is the political equivalent of a CSA: You get a random box of whatever the farm decides to deliver that week, and inevitably it's a total grab bag. You don't recognize half the vegetables and the other half is just kale. But, you know, at least there's a lot of it.”

Q will have so much fun deciphering it.

Is it normal for incumbents to do their convention at the White House?

No it probably is illegal in practice but no one ever enforces the particular act.

Why would you ask that question? Quiz time where did Trump and the RNC want the convention?

It’s also not normal for there to be “political/convention fireworks on government property” which the liberal media liked to mention about 10 times in the minute after the speech ended, at least on the CBS channel i was watching last night.

CBS also started IMMEDIATELY saying that some claim of his was 'misleading'.

89 mention he could see the the fireworks, and I remembered I’ve usually seen these things in stadiums. But wasn’t sure.

Speech was too long and didn't have the typical Trump Fire throughout.
But if anybody needs a comparison, the Dems candidate delivered a canned, edited speech. Trump delivered a live speech with a bit of improvisation.

He was tired at the end, you could see it. But who wouldn't be?
I thought it touched on the topics that are winners for him really well. As I said, if he stays on message and doesn't get sidetracked down rabbit holes he should win. As nearly as I can see teh Democrats don't have a message other than we're not Trump.

Independents took a huge swing toward Trump, to 52%.
I don't trust polls, though. I trust what I see. And I have yet to see the first Biden sign or bumper sticker I saw a video of a Biden rally made up of golf carts slowly inching their way down a street, and a Trump rally made up of hundreds of speed boats and thousands of people. I've seen more and more blacks for Trump videos. Tons of them.
I think the black vote for Trump this time is going to leave the democrats stunned. °fa-info°(information text)

I remember my father being in disbelief that Clinton won in 96 because he didn’t know a single person who voted for him.

Funny thing is he was probably unaware of that line and was saying it sincerely.

I didn't know a single person who voted for Mr. Nixon in 1972.
Mr. Nixon won 49 of 50 states.
